I think the only clientele that fit for your house and location and for 3-6 month are some kind of snowbirds who want to get away of the cold month at there hometown. Magante is not a top tourist spot, so the renting price will be lower like perhaps in cabarete or cabrera. If your house comes with a pool it could be more rentable. Electricity bill goes by the renter, everytime. Allso you have to charge a month deposit for possible damage and / or lost.
And one more thing, there is no easy buisness out there, when you can't do your buisness by your own, better don't start one...
Btw, I don't share the opinion of many posters here to not rent to dominicans, there are a lot of educated people out there, paying there bills and rents on time and are nice too. We are renting now for 15 years and our tenants are normaly dominicans, only one time we had some problems.

Understood. My wife is Dominican and she very well understands the issues if she were to rent to locals. Been there, done that.
Everyone out to third cousins ends up at the place. No thanks.
haha, my wife's brother rented one of his apartments to his wife's sister. He went to the states and when he CAME BACK THERE WERE 12 PEOPLE LIVING IN THE APARTMENT, A FAMILY PER BEDROOM.

Nevertheless, we own another apartment, small on the same street that we rented to a Californian Jehovah’s Witness.
Never again. She brought in five dogs that did their daily things in the garden and when she left, the bathroom had more drilled holes than a Swiss cheese.
That’s why I never will do long term.
With Airbnb you can specify you don't want any pets. My wife does not allow pets, for example and she does not get renters with pets because of that restriction.

Educated Dominicans with money can be just as bad if not worse, especially the javitos. Don't be fooled.

Simply avoid renting to Dominicans. Don't listen to others on this point. It is not a good idea. Trust me.

I'm really proud of this group today this is one of the first times we all in agreement do not rent it out just sell it even at a lost you are ahead of the game than to deal with this judicial system.
