from what i was reading this could be an airline requirement as the cdc says fully vaccinated travelers don,t need the tests? i see a lot of conflicting reports . i hear that airport charges 2000 pesos and they don,t even check it in miami? sounds like typical double talk all the way arround and this will not help getting the tourists back to the dr.
2000 pesos is a good price,, same as the lab I went to,, but its the antigen.. What happens if its a false positive at airport? Suggest you do it offsite BEFORE you travel and that way you KNOW you are travelling the day of your flight.. If you test positive on the antigen,, then you need the PCR (and maybe a doctor)

I'm fully vaccinated of COVID 19 and traveling soon to the DR from Boston, do I need proof of a negative COVID19 test?
I do know that I need one to return to the USA.

Yes, but with an antigen you get the result within on hour, so if you go 3 days before you still have time for a PCR test.

I have a place in Boca Chica and I had made arrangements with the Amadita clinic in Boca Chica, for testing.

Unfortunately Canada cancelled my flight and I am stuck here in the snow.

Good luck

Yes, but with an antigen you get the result within on hour, so if you go 3 days before you still have time for a PCR test.
Thats the point.. you dont get it.. You get the antigen 3 days before. Dont get it at airport, because it could be wrong and you could get stuck. Get intigen 3 days early, if it shows positive, then get a PCR

There is no longer a testing lab across from Playero in Sosua. The space is for rent.

I was just in DR and returned to NY last Sunday. I also have both shots of the vaccines, but it is mandated by US government to have a negative covid test within 3 days of arrival. The airlines will not let you check in without it, even if you have been vaccinated. I paid a little over 3,000 pesos for the test. This may change, I hope. I will be returning to DR in a few weeks.

Went to POP airport for test sunday to travel on Tuesday. Was told I was to early so need to go back today. Want to get it done before day of travel on case of false positive. And since flying business don’t want to show up 4 hours early and wait with 100 others for results. 7 people there yesterday at 10:15. Very small room behind the check in counter.

You can get an antigen test elsewhere today. Results in less than an hour.

Too early?

Too early to be tested at the airport, or too early to meet CDC guidelines......presuming you were flying into the US.

If the latter, they are mistaken. The guidelines that went into effect in January, specify a negative test done three calendar days before your flight. That means a negative test in your case done on Saturday or after would be sufficient.

I have a flight from Santiago to Miami 8:30 AM next Tuesday April 20. As Sunday testing is difficult< I am planning on testing in Puerto Plata (laboratory_ Saturday 17. With the "3 day" window, I'm presuming that's okay. Any opinions?
