I've used Interstate batteries for my inverter set up. My first set lasted eight years. However, my expensive Trace inverter has a temperature sensor which attaches to a battery. This prevents battery overheating by excess charging, the primary cause for premature battery failure.

Cometa batteries are garbage, but some retailers will honour their warrantee. I think that is part of their business plan. Sell em cheap, but with a guarantee. Not everyone will have a failure within the guarantee period and not everyone will claim. But if you do qualify, the claim procedure is sometimes quibble free and done at the retailer.
