Transport from SDQ

I’ve been a long time lurker and always find great help here!
Wondering if I can get some advice on transport from SDQ to Ensanche Isabelita.
i usually do Uber but I’ll be with my children and we are 5. Sometimes finding the Uber xl is hard and with the restrictions they don’t allow overfilling.
Would you recommend renting a car or private transfer? I haven’t driven in Santo Domingo but i have in Miami and New York lol
I’m not afraid of driving I’m more nervous of getting ripped off from the rental companies . Single women with small kids idk

Make your reservation online, and get rental rates confirmed. Helps me a lot in the past.
I've used dollar car rental, national, hertz.

What makes the car rental extra expensive is the insurance to buy off any (major) damage (I rented between 3-4 weeks, full service included), so you also got help with a breakdown or a flat tire.

I do not know how many people from 1 family you are allowed in a car
