Don’t know about the airline. I went once direct with Avianca with my ex wife and really enjoyed it. Bogota is a great city. Try and stay in the Zona Rosa where you can walk around safely.

also known as ZONA T. Andino Mall and fine upscale dining. COPA is the best airline for The Americas.

Be aware of the temperature difference! went from 35 C to 10 C, had to ask hotel manager for a heater!

sadly, Colombia currently requires vaccine card for entry.

Wingo is part of Avianca. Flew with them to Bogota and Cartagena in January. No issues other that baggage allowance is small unless you pay for it.

NO, Wingo is Part of Copa, the brand Wingo is registred in Colombia under Copa Colombia AeroRepublica.

Wingo is Low Cost airline, so remember to do webcheckin and print your board ticket, if you dont do it at the airport they will charge you 15.00 for the checkin and 5.00 for the boarding pass. In your way back to Santo Domingo you must be very early at the airport because the personel at the counter is limited and they usually have diferents flights departuring and some people loose their flights because of that. During the flight they sell all.

We went as part of a tour, never had to do anything but put our luggage through.
