No one will EVER pay $695 for ONE corona. My wife paid at least $125 for one... But $695??Everything looks legit so what's the problem? Every business sets their own prices, if they wanna charge 695 for a Corona it's up to them, and it's up to the costumer whether he/she wants to eat/drink there or not.
Most tourists leave their brains at the airport lol! Isn't it logical to ask the price before you buy something or ask for the menu and see the prices there? Especially at businesses that cater to tourists, they're known ripoffs all over the World. No one will EVER pay $695 for ONE corona. My wife paid at least $125 for one... But $695??
The paella can be understood but the corona? They must have been ok with the pricing. I mean they were able to read the receipt, so clearly they understood what to expect upon ordering. If you don't like the pricing, go eat elsewhere. I wouldn't be caught dead in Boca Chica in the first place. Neptunos is a C- at best also. 🤷♂️Someone posted on facebook and trending about it and said do not do business with these kind of restaurants. Here is the receipt:

Some girls like it. I think it's one of the worst beers on the planet right behind BudweiserNo one will EVER pay $695 for ONE corona. My wife paid at least $125 for one... But $695??
That's beside the point. Unless the bill, before they paid, had a different total or on their menu, the pricing is different, I don't see the scam here? I have no idea, but isn't this restaurant known to be expensive or something? Never heard of it so don't know...No one will EVER pay $695 for ONE corona. My wife paid at least $125 for one... I actually looked online for their menu and couldn't find it. There was one picture but it had no prices. This seems like a place to stay away from. I've lived in BC now for about 5 years and have never gone and it doesn't appear I ever will. But I do agree with you, if the customers knew the prices and ordered anyway, no sympathy. That's beside the point. We've always ordered as per the menu or if outside the menu, asked for pricing, regardless of which country we've been in...
We've sometimes paid for overprized drinks in Cabarere, but the prices were what printed on the menu, so... We just didn't come or chose a different venue before ordering...
Actually, that not completely true. Turismo regulates pricing and look for price gouging. They randomly ask restaurants to send in a copy of their menu to verify the prices. I don't know if they have ever taken action against a restaurant that was charging unfair prices, but there is a process in place in case you have been charged unfairly such as the example posted.Everything looks legit so what's the problem?
