What more can be discussed about the receipt you posted? It's been discussed to death, maybe we should get a certified public accountant to go over it?NOTE: Everyone, please get back to TOPIC in regarding my post not about how much your house or else.

Restaurants in S.D are indeed expensive. Prices have gone up. The problem, for me anyway, is the number of decent restaurants with a decent wine list on the N.C is seriously limited. While the OP started the thread about the prices at Neptunos, then posted a bar receipt from the Hard Rock, the cost of living here in the DR is very relevant. Prices have definitely increased. Groceries, etc, have all gone up. The rise in costs may have people thinking twice about going out to eat as much. Or maybe where they go. Prices in Santo Domingo (eating out) are high but based on some of the comments on this thread, prices on the NC may be lower? However, I am not sure that restaurants on the NC compare to what we have in Santo Domingo? I am not that familiar with the NC.
There are highly acclaimed restaurants in Dingo. And some classic and iconic joints as well. I lived off the Nuñez years back, and now I see so many great places have cropped onto the scene in recent years. The NC is really just a greasy spoon experience in comparison. Even the most acclaimed places on the Everything weed smoking sites are C+ at best. I will not name names, but IYKYKWhile the OP started the thread about the prices at Neptunos, then posted a bar receipt from the Hard Rock, the cost of living here in the DR is very relevant. Candles? Do I look wealthy? You using candles and ice boxes
Supposedly the guy who runs Osteria Toscana in Sosua is a certified sommelier and has a decent selection. I don't know 1st thing about wine because I'm sulfite sensitive so wine gives me a terrible headache....the number of decent restaurants with a decent wine list on the N.C is seriously limited.
Not too long ago the N.C (Sosua) had a few nice venues. They mostly have been replaced with big screen T.V joints and the tank top and croc wearing crowd. There are highly acclaimed restaurants in Dingo. And some classic and iconic joints as well. Yes Sir,.I was in that establishment often. Excellent lamb chops. That character 'Armando" was a fixture in there as well. The passing eye candy was the entertainment, until it wasn't.Supposedly the guy who runs Osteria Toscana in Sosua is a certified sommelier and has a decent selection. I don't recall such places, maybe a few Bs and one occasional B+. Nothing that compares to Larimar or Naca'n. Now, if you want to stay in business in Sosua, you need to serve unlimited wings and bacon, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Not too long ago the N.C (Sosua) had a few nice venues. Well my ACC educated compadre, I am inlined to agree. I am at a point where I mostly eat small portions and swill complex wine. I do like peperoni in S.D for the wine list, the super fab appetizers and the near perfect service. Caymus is on me!I don't recall such places, maybe a few Bs and one occasional B+. You definitely pay attention to what you read and enjoy a solid Napa beverage. I do have part Big 10 (NJ) in me as well. I guess I may have been harsh, after I wrote that post, I remembered a couple places I've dined in Sosua, a great mariscada I forget if the place is still in business. Yes Osteria T enjoys a fine rep, but I never had the opportunity. I just never saw Sosua as a place of elegance or taste, but I did not partake in the glory days which I am told ended around 05.Well my ACC educated compadre, I am inlined to agree. Sosua is now crumbling roads, no water and hookers that even Hunter B. wouldn't touch on crack binge. Not too long ago the N.C (Sosua) had a few nice venues. They mostly have been replaced with big screen T.V joints and the tank top and croc wearing crowd.

You can wake me up for this one:
Domaine Saint Germain Pinot Noir 75 cl
