Everyone knows they did it, and got away with it. Everyone.

Well it would be interesting to know what her family members think. Are they sure " they did it" ?

The whole point of a justice system is to avoid decade long " vendettas" and such.

I can totally understand folks from " normal" countries waiting for the justice system to do its job, thats how we all live peacefully together in civilised countries.
I am pretty convinced murder rates are correlated with resolution of murder rates.

However, if said justice system fails you, then off come the gloves, I would think, no ?

It may not be the place---- but it is definitely the time---- to point out that life is cheap in the DR. They could end up having to look over their backs and employ somebody to taste their food and drinks for the rest of their ---hopefully short--- lives.

I was just thinking.Remember when OJ was aquited of murder in criminal court but he lost in ( I think the type of court is) civil court and had to pay big. Do they have that option here?

The trial is over, and today a member of Danilo’s family posted on Facebook that they were all released a month ago, so immediately after the verdict.

The final chapter of our dear friend’s life is now written, and this thread is now closed.
