My question is going to be how can a bank refuse entry to an account holder that doesn't have THE CARD? The person would be denied access to their money.

Apparently the Ministry of Health has the authority to make it so. A court ruled on it. Those that disagree will have to take that up with that ministry and or start another lawsuit.

If only they would check the thousands of passengers flying in every day...
I feel safer already.

What?
Uckf with the bottom line?

Strange here in Santiago Jumbo was definitely not full at all, the lost in revenue will be astronomical if this continues requiring vac cards for the wider economy long term unsustainable on my opinio.

They won't do that because of AI resort business which is always a primary focus on how decisions are made.

The Gov't is reacting -
------------------------------------------

The Minister of Health recognizes there is neglect in requesting a vaccination card and asks for more help from businessmen

He warns from the first of December new controls will come and that the card with a single dose will not be accepted

The Minister of Public Health acknowledged yesterday that some places have been "lowering their guard" in compliance with the resolution that requires the Covid-19 vaccination card to enter collective establishments, as Listín Diario points out in a report. published today.

Dr. Daniel Rivera said that early in the morning he made a tour of some places to see how they work and that he sent the newspaper's review to the main businessmen of the country, from whom he requested more help to achieve compliance with the measure that seeks to population is vaccinated to stop the impact of the Covid-19 virus.

The Minister of Health recalled that so far those who had only one dose had been given an opportunity, but that as of December 1, the two doses will begin to be required to enter the collective places and new controls will be added, " which is painful, because the cases of seriousness and death continue to be those of the unvaccinated, but they believe that it is a game ”.

He added that to complete 70% of the vaccinated population with two doses, it is necessary to apply some 700 thousand doses in the country, so he hopes that before December 1 it will be achieved. He said that the electronic card will also facilitate and speed up the process of applying the measure.

Call
“We make a call to the business community, because Public Health depends a lot on it, so we ask you to help us, because there are companies that must take up their guard again, so that we can reach the goal of 70% of those vaccinated with second dose".

However, he pointed out that there are places, such as banking institutions, that are very firm attached to the fulfillment of said resolution, whom he congratulated.

“I sent it immediately to Dargán, Marranzini, Brache (Dominican business leaders) because they are the ones who have to help us, I now went to three places and they were demanding it, but I agree with the newspaper, that there are places that they are being neglected in the demand ”, said the Minister of Public Health, interviewed by telephone.

Listín Diario published the details of a tour made by different establishments where it found that only four out of 10 places visited abided by the regulations to the letter imposed by the Ministry of Public Health.

The review that indicates that almost 20 days into the validity of resolution 00048, which provides that the vaccination certificate is an essential requirement to enter shopping centers, stores, restaurants, gyms and others, some establishments have already forgotten the measure or seem to pay attention to it. ignored.

Because a lot of people have just gotten their first shot, so they are giving them until Dec. 1 for the second.
I get that part, but why not crack down immediately on those that don't even ask to see a card at all?

I believe he was referring to insist on only cards with 2 shots on it be accepted starting Dec.1
Not anything related to general enforcement or lack of.

1st shot needed to be given in October - 2nd comes 30 days later

Hence end of November is the end of the 'free' period

YES - he's talking enforcement in general- as I read it

Jamao al Norte
First few days, I was asked for my vac card everywhere. Now, no one asks for it.

However, we have many children absent from classes due to fever and gripe. My piano student has had some awful cough for 3 weeks now. Her two sisters then got it. Just yesterday, I heard her grandmother who lives with them and is a nurse has a horrible case of pneumonia. I suspect it is COVID.

The local doctor was just at my house. He brought up the subject and said that there is a lot of COVID in Jamao right now.

I do think it is something we must learn to live with.
