This thread/OP was "iffy" from the get-go, but we left it because there are a lot of Dominicans and foreigners traveling from USA to DR. The wording in the title should say MAY REQUIRE, the way it's written it sounds like it's already passed. National Enquirer sensationalist style.

As JD said, we'll decide on a case by case basis, sometimes "political" postings can be taken several ways. Like someone said about porn, "We know it when we see it".

I cannot predict if the bill in the OP will pass, nor can I predict how soon two Pfizer shots will be allowed in the DR after two Si No Vac shots.

They are both possibilities. What is a fact is that CV19 is now endemic in the world. Neither vaccinations nor restrictions will eliminate CV19.

Today I had my second dose of Pfizer so that now I have had two doses of Sinovac and two doses of Pfizer. Today in the vaccination room I presented my cedula and my vaccination card and I reminded them that they had told me that I needed a second pfizer shot and that they would give me a new card. Yes,they replied that is correct so I asked them to write both doses of Pfizer on my card and they were happy to do that. After the injection , I asked if many people were having two Pfizer shots after the two Sinovac shots and they replied algunas personas. But they said a very large number of people were having the one Pfizer shot after their two Sinovac shots and for people who had only one Sinovac shot their second shot was always Pfizer. They did not mention Astro Z and I did not see it on the lists they had made out .. I only saw Sinovac and Pfizer listed as the injections given today . So based on my experience if you wish two Pfizer shots then you can have them

To put it politely , this is a misrepresentation of the truth and everytime you must be wary of the NY Times. According to the BBC and France 24, only 58 % of Israel had taken up two doses of Pfizer and because the Delta variety arrived quickly the Israel government wants people to have 3 doses. They say that with 3 doses, there is an 86% efficient counter. Not one single person who has been or is in hospital now has had 3 doses .Even now there are over 1 million Israel citizens who have not even had their first dose. I suppose, just as in the USA, some people simply will refuse and jeopardise the situation . New measures in Israel have been introduced and now you need a vaccine certificate or recent negative test to enter a restaurant,place of religion or a sporting or musical event.

This is not the same for me at all. The finish line here stretches to infinity for CV19.
People are just now grasping this detail which was clear from early on in the pandemic
once it was discovered a coronavirus was involved.

CV19 virus caused and pandemic which has now turned endemic.
Now we have to live with it from this point on since there is no "cure" to eliminate it.

Forcing people to vaccinate before flying into the US is just another mitigation tactic.
