Upper tier restaurants

Hey guys! I was hoping to get a list going on nice restaurants serving exceptionally good food in Sosua/Cabarete/POP. Yes, I could do a simple Google search and check TripAdvisor🙄...but I wanted to bring it to DR1. We are not necessarily looking for fancy dining. Nor a specific cuisine.

We have some celebrating to do in March. Any direction is appreciated!

William Webster, thank you for your BLISS suggestion. Looking forward to our stop there.

Excellent food at Papi's in Cabarete..... just excellent

Some \might not consider it 'upper tier'....... but the food !!!

MNsoota... from one laker to another..there are some good restaurantes here, for seafood you really need to be on the ocean... but if you are looking for something like Mannys or a Ruth Chris steak house fogetabout it...Mpls. St Paul has many great ones.. I lived many years in the Stillwater, Hudson area and what I would give now for a Keyes cafe.......Doc..

This is for Doc. I lived in Minn. and Wis. for 49 years, Golden Valley for the last 10 of those 49. All my favorite spots aren't any more. Shelly's Woodroast, the New French Cafe, Szechuan Star in Edina, Filigio's in uptown, Pascale's Cafe on Hennepinn.\.There are more great places in Santo Domingo than Minnesota hands down

Azua...dont get to Santo Domingo....Do you remember a place in downtown MPLS..Charlies Cafe?

Doc, Charlies Cafe Exceptional went out of business I think 1982 or 83. It was a great lunch place for sure!!

Yes I know charlies was Exceptional...and I know how good it was. I had a company account that I used several times a week for free , all thru the 1970s.....anyway was just going down memory lane, maybe I saw you there?

@william webster - We are looking for the best food around! I shouldn’t have used ‘upper tie’ in the tread. As it pretty much comes down to quality of food. The ambiance is not so important. Thanks guys!

Bliss in Cabarate. One of, or the best Italian food in the DR. Chef and owner from Piemonte.
