US Fed hikes to affect DR
The higher food prices may persist throughout this year and next. After that, prices may come down along with oil and interest rates. China is imploding due to over construction in real estate. Government revenues will suffer there as new construction has stalled. I am not sure if their zero Covid policy is sincere, or if they are locking people down so they can blame their implosion on Covid instead of bad government policy. The lack of new construction should bring down the price of commodities including oil. Leading indicators around the world show some signs of slowing. Most of the printed Covid money seems to have been spent on overpriced real estate, fake currencies, gambling and alcohol. Consumer credit is at an all time high. I expect a decline in interest rates and prices in about 12 months. The only wildcard is the lunatic in charge of Russia.
If the price of chicken goes any higher in DR, in will bring a whole new meaning to the phrase "free" range for my neighbor's chickens.

Just saw data on airfare and it was up over 18% month over month in the latest data, and 30%+ year over year. That has to reflect soon in tourist trips
