The Dominican Republic shone on the global stage as it played host to the prestigious 2025 World Law Congress, transforming the nation into a hub for legal minds from around the world on 4, 5 and 6 May. More than 300 jurists from 70 countries gathered under the banner of “New Generations and the Rule of Law: Forging the Future,” turning Santo Domingo into the “global capital of the rule of law” for three days.

Any sane, logical and conservative would agree. She is a flaming liberal and her with Luis is very unnatural. It's a photo opportunity..imho.
Ok, I thought it was something other than political. I forget how angry people are in the US.

El Hijo de Manolo

I thought we were not allowed to talk American politics on DR1
Those are the rules! Any further politically slanted post will be deleted and, depending upon how egregious the offense, earn its author a warning or ban.

Being a Latina is important.
Rephrasing a bit and agreeing:

Being a Latina, at least in this case, appears to be 100% important to the receipt of the award.

It would have been nice if they highlighted her achievements involving World Peace and Liberty, i.e., the criteria for the award and how she achieved them.

Otherwise, it really does appear that being Latina was 100% important and Luis and the King took the photo op it provided.
