Despite most United States’ governmental agencies being closed on Thursday 9 January due to the funeral services for 100-year old former US President Jimmy Carter, the US Consulate announced that visa appointments will not be rescheduled and instead will be kept in the Sambil Mall, Diario Libre reported.
An Executive Act calls for the close of all government offices on Thursday to honor the deceased former president. Nonetheless, the appointments at the VAC should be kept as planned.
Jimmy Carter was the President of the United States from 1976 to 1980. He lost his re-election bid to Ronald Reagan.
