Used Furniture in Santo Domingo?

Does anyone know of a shop or market that sells used furniture in Santo Domingo? I have been to a few markets like the one on the Malecon at Doce on Sunday but there is little or no used furniture. A friend of mine has been importing used appliances and selling them by word of mouth out of her house but even she could not name a used furniture source. Any ideas?

There are some places on Avenida San Martin near Kennedy but they sell mainly office furniture IIANM.
The usual way to buy used furniture is via the classifieds in Diario Libre and Listin Diario.

Drive up Independencia, around 7 1/2 you start to come across them on both sides of the road, there are 4 togther at 8 1/2 either side. Staying on the same road there is a Sunday market where you can find furniture, not appliances but sofas and chairs, tables etc.

Cross St On Independencia?

Thank you for the replies. I know Independencia but I do not know where 7-1/2 to 8-1/2 is. What is the nearest cross street?

We went up and down Independencia multiple times looking for used furniture stores. We found not a one. We also asked a family friend that lives around 8 on Independencia and they did not know of any. Any other ideas? We are not looking for anything too fancy, just something to fill out a couple of bare looking rooms.
