I've been around for awhile and posted some what I hope is good information and I've posted my disdain for crap.

But I need to vent. I have a deep desire to talk about what is real and true vs. ???

Keep in mind that I live at the end... dead end of a road. I'm the LAST house but I have property a little up from us. Others are around just up from us including a guard house always with a person.

Yesterday while I was on my lawn tractor cutting along the road side, a couple waved me down. I stopped the mower and shut down the tractor. "Where is the beach?" Playa Chiquita has only one little beach and is in the other direction IF you can find it. I gave directions, very good directions. I went back to my work.

An hour latter while in 200 feet within my pasture cutting away.... a car has stopped and is waving at me like it is the end of the earth. I shut down.. walk over. "Where is the beach?" I tell them but I'm not so nice. I have work to do and ...... really, no one else is in the area to ask? Like those 4 that I can see over their. Do I have a sign on me......... TOURIST INFORMATION FOR STUDID TOURIST? Ahhh. But that IS a point.... everyone else around me is.... brownish and I'm the only white boy in sight even though I'm 300 feet away on a lawn mower cutting the pasture. GET IT?

I won't even go into the tourist bike ride that started into the fields, uninvited, no asking..... me working right their and ........ they walking in...... to pet my little gentle stallion........

Next day. I'm still have work to do and taking care of my land. Move horses so I can get fertilizer down and set up watering. I move into another area on my LOUD lawn tractor and it is obvious that I'm working and ANOTHER FICKIN TOURIST waves at me. "WHERE IS THE BEACH?" Now I'm ****ed. Again, several others are around to ask but they ......... just like me and it's better to stop someone working in a field, jump up and down waving to someone on a loud piece of equipment in the middle of a field trying to work then.... ?????

So I'm done. Time to bring in our horses. Joe Ben... comes roaring out of his warehouse just down a side street. Joe drives fast and has no concept of what is around him. HIS little dog comes running along side his car. Joe runs over the dog. I'm right there with my horse at the corner .... I hear the bones crunch... and the yelp from the little dog. My wife hears it a little up the road with her horse. Two others are right at the corner.

I stop in the street with my horse..... Joe has not choice but to stop and get out of his car. Dog is yelping. I look Joe in the eye and "You ran it over ... YOU take care of it. It's your mans dog." He picks up the dog, after many ttys, and kisses it. "It's my dog you........ " Then it gets nasty... very nasty. "I'm sorry that it was not YOU that I didn't ran over."

me.... "Joe... take care of the dog you sob.... " Joe know has a crowd so he picks up the dog... puts it into his car... and takes it back to his hired hand...... that is not home.

You see. Joe was not upset that he ran over his dog. Not at all. Joe was upset that I... SOMEONE called him on it.

I wouldn't be shuttin' down my mower or paying much attention to the those tourist folks.
Maybe you're being too nice.

Hey, @ least it was a "Dominican experience", better than reading pages and pages of this religious jibberish, you prefer Frank12 CNN cut and paste horsemanure in the OFF TOPIC WORLD?

The problem is closely related to those Thomas Cook complaints someone posted over in the Clown Bin....

Reminds me of an old Georgia joke

Farmer is out working his fields, probably 4-500 yards from the road when a car with out of state plates pulls to a stop

Guy gets out of the car and yells to the farmer "Hey, can you tell me how to get to Jekyll Island?"

Barely able to hear the guy from the distance, the farmer ignores him

The guy yells again, "Hey buddy, how do I get to Jekyll Island

The farmer motions for the tourist to walk out into the field where he is working, but the tourist points to his shiny leather shoes and the muddy field and shakes his head

Realizing this maroon isn't going away soon, The old farmer shuts off his tractor, gets down and trudges to where the tourist has pulled up

Say the farmer to the tourist "How did you know my name was Buddy?" Tourist says "I just guessed"

Farmer, "Then guess your way to Jekyll Island if you're so damm smart"

I also had that problem on that street, you would think there would be access at some point to actually just maybe see a bit of the sea, I suppose it seems unbelievable to tourists that the sea is so close and yet there is no access to catch a glimpse

"Well then, how about the interstate?"

"Nope, never had no need to go there..."

Really? Well how about Montpelier? That's suppose be somewhere around here!"

"Sorry, can't help ya sonny..."

"Good Lord! For a guy who's lived in Vermont all their life, you sure don't know much!"

"Maybe so, but t'ain't lost neither.."

Ring, since you live at the end of a dead end street, why don't you put a sign up?
At the entrance to your street put NO HAY SALIDA,NO PLAYA AQUI maybe that will work?:)
