Here is a video taken by someone with a smartphone of the accident that happened a few days ago in Higüey. Although it looks like a horrible scene, nothing gruesome is shown. A woman (could be the businessman’s wife) is seen on the street, apparently she can’t get back on her feet. It seems one of her legs was fractured or broken in the accident. A successful Higüey businessman was killed in the accident.

Many people in the comments suggest the men searching the SUV while not helping the woman were there to rob them. Maybe, but if they were not doctors there is not much they can do. If she is bloodied somewhere, the best thing is to avoid touching the blood. There is no way to know if she has a disease such as HIV, hepatitis, and other types that could be transmitted by simply touching a contaminated blood. Even if she said she has nothing, a person doesn’t know they have a disease prior to feeling symptoms or diagnosed through a medical exam. Until then and with no symptoms, even she wouldn’t know if she had something.

According to Bávaro Digital, she was his partner Lisaneth Díaz, 24 years old. It say she survived and suffered some injuries, plus was stabilized at a medical center. No details about a broken leg. They were heading home after spending an evening with friends at the Mama Juana club in Higüey.

Regarding the businessman Luis Robles, his death was caused by blunt force on the chest, lumbar, and on the nape. He was in the passenger seat and the air bags didn’t deploy.

There probably isn't much risk of getting HIV if contaminated blood comes into contact with intact skin. But the risk may be higher if contaminated blood touches cut, scraped, or broken skin.

It doesn't look like much in the video but the other side of the truck was really bashed in. Hitting a wall will do that.

There are deployed airbags visible in other pictures of the vehicle but perhaps the main bag didn't deploy.

The other coincidence is that one of his properties is where a church (probably an evangelical since they tend to have churches in what basically are store/business buildings) rented and he had some issues with the priest there to the point of involving the law. The priest got arrested.

Where did the fatal accident took place? In front of one of his buildings where said church operated. Who was the sole victim of the accident? The guy that had the problem with the priest from that church. Plus, his airbags didn't deploy. 😳

As expected, many people are thinking one thing and the other are connected.

Yes, indeed! My friends and relatives in Higüey, believers all, made the connection.

The sad part was seeing so many onlookers ignore the driver's plea for help.

They were probably busy taking pictures of the corpse for their social media accounts. It's about priorities.

Absolutely true!

I once had an accident in El Seibo and, within seconds, the crowd gathered as if a free concert by Antony Santos was about to start.
Fortunately, no one was injured, but I think the onlookers were hoping this long-haired hippie was going to be hauled to jail on the spot, regardless of who wast at fault.
