VP of Corraplata murdered ?

A friend sent me this video of a Corraplata being gunned down on June 28 in
Puerto Plata for the gold chain on his neck, then they went through his pockets.

Anyone else here about this ?

It's been all over the local news since it happened earlier this week.

Funeral

Guys who are well-known to the PN yet it appears they've been allow
to continue murdering people in the streets for several months (as suspected
in other homicides captured on video) without being arrested.

CR is right - it was all over the social pages.

These guys killed him and took his gold. They were identified in the same story that reported him being shot, robbed and killed.

The next day they pawned the jewelry and the gun.

The day after police kill one and search for the other.

There's more to this. I'm waiting to see what develops.

Tigueres who were violent and had been doing this time of strong arm robbery before and apparently killed others, but were only hunted down after they killed a prominent official.

Hopefully they catch up to the 2nd second suspect soon and he gets to join his cohort below ground for this senseless assignation.
Seems so childish (if guns were not involved) robbing tacky necklaces to pawn for pennies on the dollar.
Equally tacky for a grown man to stack necklaces around his neck, as if that represents wealth ?
