Could you please explain this, they have "ala carte menus included in the price", I don't understand.
Simple. Just like a regular Ala-Carte restaurant. You order from a menu, but there are no prices on it as this is Included. Like a Steak house, Italian, French, etc. These hotels only have ONE Buffet and 4 or 5 Ala-Carte restaurants that are Included in the price............That is why they are called All Inclusive.........

Yea, but they don't get to see senior sanky jumping around with flaming torches to the sound of bongos as people from Levittown Pa ooh and ahh
Why not disparage all the "mouth breathers" (your choice of words, not mine) on vacation from various cities and towns in Canada too? In this thread alone you've picked PA and NJ...why not slam your own too?

Hey sawman. Where might you be from? Quebec? The place no one wants to be for 5 months of the year. Perhaps Filthadelphia. The AIs have mucho people from these towns.

In this thread? People with more money than brains. Like those who buy a BMW or Land Rover.
Sir windy, not everyone wants to own a 20-year-old Hyundai Sante Fe and call it an intellectual decision. By the way, how many miles do you have on that gem?

Fascinating concept! So, it's a way to keep the cattle from sitting at the trough all day grazing on fried plantains and mac and cheese.

I don't have a 20 year old Hyundai Santa Fe. Sorry to disappoint. When I got rid of the 2003 model I purchased new in Santo Trafficjam, I had about 120K on it.

I repeat my comment that there are people with more money than brains that will stay at a place like a W.
They will also buy things like Rolex watches, BMW's etc.. Hey, the DR will be glad to have them and so will the Mormons at Marriott.

oh sorry, in another thread you stated you had a 20 y/o Sante Fe you originally purchased in Santo Dom. Must have been a different windy. @ "Mormons" , Marriott is a publicly traded company, it is not owned by a church

I have never seen mac and cheese at a buffet in the DR. Most resorts have a reservation system for the ala-cartes. Many are not that big, do not hold that many diners at once, and are not open every night. Honestly some are really good.

Well thanks for the intel. Could you suggest which resort also has the best water slide and swim up bar. My business colleagues and staff like to network while screaming out loud down a water slide and getting plastered at an unlimited drinks swim up bar.

Here is the issue Big, while everyone is entitled to their opinion, yours is getting rather old. Everyone knows how you feel about AI's so there is really no reason to continue with the negative posts about AI's. I have always had the opinion that unless you have had personal experiences staying at an AI then nothing you are posting is fact based. You are also demeaning the posts by others, which is not necessary. Then again maybe your negative posts are more of a "shock and awe" attempt. Either way based on how you feel about AI's maybe these threads are not for you.

There are many who come to this forum to get information, many are not "registered" just drop-ins. There are those of us that are interested in opinions, thoughts and information about the various resorts. Not everyone shares the same thoughts or opinions but saying/posting it once is enough.

BTW there is a 73 page document on line issued by the DR that would support an opposite "Opinion" about people of means having no brains.

I agree that there is nothing wrong with posting a negative opinion. But why anyone should pay ANY attention to your constant ranting and raving about how bad these Hotels are since by your own admission you have never set foot in ONE………..

Never once have I posted a negative opinion about a particular resort. I simply used a parody writing style to relay my opinion. I did not expect you to grasp this, however I know some would. In closing, there is nothing wrong with the AI concept. Enjoy it! Nothing says sophistication like a florescent wrist band with a special code that announces, "desserts included".
