Well I am hoping Carlos or his twin Cristo can elaborate on the purpose of these threads about Haiti especially about Haitian people. I just see it being bashing the country, it's people and it's culture.
Whether the Kenyan's are being compensated sufficiently for them to justify completing the mission in Haiti remains to be seen. The Haitian plight, as many have stated in this thread, will depend on the results of the November elections to the North. That said, progress is being made. Just the other day, a spokesperson for the Kenyan forces relayed a crucial discovery that Barbecue did not in fact get his nickname from torching humans, but because of his family backyard gatherings where they would grill out on the family pets, the cats and dogs, following a family tradition started in Springfield, OH.

We have to draw the line somewhere. Bats, rats, roaches and tarantulas, just no. Tbh, a properly seasoned cat or dog probably tastes much better than a Scandinavian cold creamed herring sandwich
As a raconteur, you’re well aware there is no accounting for taste. That applies to many things, taste in the opposite sex, clothing , cars, and many other questionable choices. We consider cod cheeks and tongues a delicacy. The French have their escargot. The Chinese have their eggs buried in the ground for hundreds of years. The Brits have blood pudding and head cheese. To each his own EHM.

ECM, agree to certain extent about Luis BUT re: Luis worrying. Remember from the get-go Luis always covered his bases by declaring "This is a world problem"! He did it time and time again to say to the world...Don't be looking to me/DR to solve this problem alone!
The "world" thought they could write a check and the elephant in the room would gentle walk away. Nope. They back!!!
As you and I have said before...Luis is a VERY smart pol.

Nice juxtaposition of the serious and the satirical EHM. You owe me a bag of Santo Domingo coffee. I snort a lot of it through my nose when I read your posts. 😂

Lol, touché! A traditional dish of escargot is quite delicious. Blood pudding and head cheese, a major fail, however a traditional Bristish roast with Yorkies, stewed veg and gravy, a 10!

I just received a photo of Haitians crucifying a cat.

I'm not racist or anti-Haitians, BTW. Only mention what I have seen with my own two eyes.

That's how they celebrate Friday the 13th. Then they throw some chicken bones to the ground and smear the blood of the desanguinated cat on their heads

I have heard there is a lifeform/culture where they like fry left over chicken pieces. Call it McNuggets and then dip it into some weird sauce and eat it. Unbelievable.

That’s gross, what a primitive culture.

I’ll stick to fermented herring with onions, which is delicious btw. And highly cultural where I am from.

We’ve really wandered afar……. Not a hint of Kenyans anymore. I’m going to close this until/unless there is something new to report.
