Hola everyone, I am new member, thanks for accepting me.

I'll be traveling to the North coast at the end of August. How is the weather in that period?

Thanks everyone,

Julian

You could have nice weather. On the other hand hurricane season often starts to get active in August so there's that.

August into October are hot months. Temp. mid 30's C. Humidity in the 70% range if you wish to calculate the Humidex. A late afternoon thunder storm not uncommon. Normally pretty dry otherwise. Sun is intense. Usually a fair amount of Saharan dust in the atmosphere. Cyclonic storms possible but rare.

I have seen it p*ss down buckets then too. Agreed, hot humid in the day, but decent at night and I almost always feel a breeze, Of course my significant other breaks wind a lot so it could be that.

Heating of the atmosphere usually results in a breeze due to convection in the afternoon. It's not a refreshing breeze just a bunch of hot air moving around.

Miami.. although never 100F is stifling in the summer

The humidity is HIGH... remembering that it was formerly a swamp!

I find the daily temperatures here pretty consistent.
The bigger variations - it seems- are in the night time temps.
Summers call for a fan...........

I haven't needed one yet this year but have one saved on Amazon for my next mudanza load...in April

If you're sitting under the trees in the shade on Sosua Beach you'll catch a nice breeze and it's not bad at all, however, if you're in one of the sidewalk cafes or restaurants on Pedro Clisante, like Brittania, it's sweltering mid-afternoon in August. Used to be pretty nice years ago before they cut down all the shade trees and put in those scrawny, shadeless palm trees.

just Google tower fans... my current is Holmes but as you can imagine...
a few years of pumping the salty air is tough on it...
only the slowest speed works... which is all I use...
but if all the other speeds went ... surely the last one will too

AMAZON BASICS has its own model....

I've seen quite a few different ones in Jumbo, La Sirena, etc. Are there any brands here you would recommend?

Hi! I found a this with a very interesting information.

This is my dream to do our anniversary with hubby very special. We hoped to get marry on the beach , but could not due to some circumstances. And now it seems like the best time. But I can't decide. What do you think?
