Whatever happen to AHY-BAR in SANTIAGO

Many many many years ago there was a small bar in EL AREA MONUMENTAL named AHY BAR it was the place to be and the place to be seen … what happened to it ? Is is still there ? Did it closed ?

The only thing that has changed at Ahi Bar & Cafe is that they removed the giant tree that was lit up every night which created an amazing atmosphere.

OP, I follow their FB page, and even today they post the nightly activities which would make me believe that they are still open for business.

Ahi Bar was a favorite haunt of our very own Loco AZB..................

WHEN I started vacationing in DR 15 years ago I remember reading AZB posts and threads and thinking “ AZB HAS MASTER THE DOMINICAN WAY” I never ever disagreed with any of his opinions back then

Was just there this week. Ahi-Bar Cafe and Grill. It's 1 street behind KukaraMarcara (Cowboy Bar/Restaurant) I don't remember if that's where it always was.

There is also Ahi-Bar Dance Club across the street
