Looks like something large is burning towards the Airport or maybe in Puerto Plata.
Anyone know what is burning?

According to Detrasdelrumor Fayboo page it is the land next to the landfill where they used to dump all the old tyers...

Nothing worse than a fire in a rubber tire dump.
They can burn for days on end and the ecological damage will be off the chart.
That black smoke will travel with the wind for miles and miles and miles.
Evacuations will probably be needed.
God help anybody who is already suffering from respiratory issues.
Life is about to get exponentially more difficult.
The guys working the fire will need special equipment...probably not even available in the country.
Fingers crossed that there are not too many tires dumped at that site.

Used to be the sugarcane every year that are in that area. It's still there so perhaps they still do the yearly burning.

Yes fly they're evacuating like it was southern California. It's like you have no clue. The Dingo dump has been burning for a month and the residents are out on the rooftops tipping back presidentes and complaining about having their views obstructed

Circle the wagons, fire on the Indians, don't let your mask slip, put on your sunscreen and carry and umbrella and take handfuls of vitamins and get a herbal cleanse - jeez can you be more dramatic ?

You know how to put a tire fire? You bulldoze dirt over the top of them, then go home and drink some beer.
