What's the best way to transfer money from the DR to the USA meant to be used in an investment?

Hello folks,

I'm a Dominican living in the USA and I recently took a second mortgage in a property I have in the D.R. to take advantage of an investment opportunity in the USA. What is the best way for me to transfer that money to my account in the USA? Do I do a simple wire-transfer from bank A in the DR to bank B in the USA? Also, is there some procedure that I have to follow so that the IRS doesn't think that I earned that money and tax it as income? Meaning, how do I tell them "this is a loan that I need to repay, not income"?

Thanks!

Just do a wire from A in the DR to B in the USA, pay the wire fee (around 60.00) in the DR bank and be done with it - IRS has nothing to do with the wire as its not reported income
