What's the name of the small hot peppers in the DR
We called them Thai Chilis
At 50,000- 100,000 SHUs is the bird’s-eye chili. The Thai name for this chili translates to literally mean “mouse dropping chili”.
They are a moderately hot chili.

They might be considered "ornamental peppers" in English. I had a few of the ornamental plants in the US and I was surprised how hot they were.
Those look quite a bit like Tabasco peppers, but since they grow wild, they're prob just called "hot peppers" and are cousins.

I liked the long, red, pencil-thin peppers for heat. Not really serrano, since those tend to be waxy and yellow

I will admit that I have a different tolerance level for hot peppers. Unfortunately living here in the land that spice forget, it has probably fallen off significantly over they years.
