Any particular apartment/condo/house/bedroom being rented via any company would have to go along with local noise laws. Of course in the DR, good luck with that.
All Airbnb can do is block further rentals by tenants that don't comply with the local rules, and they are reluctant to block future revenue sources.
MR_ Cities shut down Airbnb because the price of rentals became so high nobody that worked in the city could afford to live there since Airbnb was so successful in renting in those locales like Sedona. I don't think we have that issue in the DR. I know for certain Cabarete has too many Airbnbs which means the competition is good for those that want to rent.
