Seriously?? That is just beyond stupid (the number of cases I mean)...So people are willing to cause damage to their vehicles just to "be right"??? Nobody (should) be approaching those toll booths with a high speed, so I assume (might be wrong) that they would realize what they are doing before anything gets damaged... So what they are doing is practically just looking to fight with someone??
If you wonder how some things are damaged on Dominican roads that you hardly see or if at all elsewhere, you're getting a hint here. lol
When Juan Pablo II highway was open (the highway that connects Samana with Santo Domingo), there were many accidents on the road and people were sure that the problem was on the design of the road. A road built to international specifications and taking into account the safety of the users. Apparently, the issue was the road. Riiiiight... Driving like a lunatic apparently has nothing to do with it.
