These folks are giving you advice for an old Man. If you're under 30 and wash everyday, have most of your front teeth and your hair you need to stay away from FoD and BB's, etc. and just ask the locals working at the AI about the nightlife nearby. They'll be glad to show you around after their shifts, just be prepared to buy a few rounds of Presidentes.

I vacationed with my Son in Santo Domingo when he was 26 and again at 28 and he didn't spend much more than taxi fare (because he didn't bring much more than taxi fare) and he had the Chicas jumping out of trees to get to him. The receptionist at our hotel took him to a cabana which SHE paid for. He'd go to the mall and come back with 20 phone #s, one Chica with another one on the way in an hour.

If I was 30 years younger I would lose my mind in the D.R. there are just more distractions than most young Men can manage.

There is also a Strip club called Crytals in Puerto Plata, They have rooms upstairs for you convienence...Some stunners there!

Go to Field of Dreams. It's probably right across the street from your AI and was voted #1 on Trip Adviser. Tell them Joey from Newark sent you and you want the Playa Dorada special. Good luck!
