Can any give any suggestions or recommendations on where to buy a hammock on the North Coast? (Preferably the Sosua/Cabarete area)

And approx cost?

...can't wait to lay out in my backyard with a Benadicta & a good book, swaying back and forth in my hammock! :D (assuming I can find a place to buy one...) :)

There is a little shop in the plaza at the back of Baileys restaurant in Sosua, they sell hammocks. Just as a word of warning, when you try and sway from side to side, laid on your back and drinking a cocktail, it can get very messy! LOL

The gallery/giftshop just to the left of The Kaka Kaka has a hammock, across the street from Bailey's and to the right. They sell "Taino" inspired paintings and pottery as well, a rather nice spot.

Excellent suggestions from everyone! Thanks a lot, I will check them all out.

Black Dog - I don't mind to get a bit messy everyone once and awhile, as long as it's for a good cause ;) lol

You could be right JD....That sounds like a good temporary solution, but I would also like to have a pretty tropical looking colorful hammock.... :)
More astatically pleasing.

But that would be a great (and cheaper) temporary alternative!
Thanks for the advice.

I got a hammock at PatioWorx in Sosua. The shop is along the main highway not far from the new hospital and on the same side of the road.
