We return to Las Terrenas next week (!!!) and need to buy small appliances (toaster oven, microwave) and small tables, etc. for our little house-- Can we find these in LT or would we need to drive to Samana? We will NOT have time to travel this trip to Santiago or SD--
Thanks for your help!

You can definitely get these in Samana. A couple of stores carrying appliances can be found on the street that runs perpendicular to the fire station, away from the malecon. That same street(its only about 3 blocs long) comes out at the rotunda with the statue in the middle. They have appliances and household items, and will have tem out in front of the store so its hard to miss.

You can find them in Las Terrenas also, there are many "Ferreter?as" where you can find all that sort of small appliances. Also there is Supermercado Lindo in Plaza Rosada, where they have all kinds of food and beverages.

Enjoy LT.

Thank goodness!! When we were in Las Terrenas in Feb, we didn't do ANY shopping and now we have very limited time to furnish our house-
Thank you, Jose!

Just a thought,,,,

Nagua is always an option and not much more travel time than going to Samana from Las Terrenas.

What?s the problem, I just bought a fridge, gas cooker, plastic chairs, kitchen utensils on Friday. Fernandez at the junction of Calle Carmen/Calle Principal (cemetery end), Cinque et Diez opposite Plaza Rosada (Lindo?s), big shop (name forgotten) where ferreteria europea used to be, just down from Mail Box etc and further down a ferreteria on the other side of the road called Michel something or other who carries just about every kind of lamp etc you can think of. Then of course use one of the local ebanistas for anything wood. Tel Nos on request.

Hi Granca:
I need a simple wooden daybed to hold a twin mattress (40" X 76")--
Do you know someone who could build this and what it might cost?
Thank you!

What is daybed

It's just a single or twin mattress (40 X 76 inches) on a wooden platform placed against the wall that can be used as a couch during the day and a single bed at night--
