Another great fighter with no power, spot on! I always liked Paulie like I said, damn shame...and I can't believe its 2:30 already...Time to kick it back, watch a movie, then give Antonia a hard time for going to bed without me..LOL...Give her a few nudges just to wake her up..Evil laugh,,,,

Paulie is good and a native Brooklynite. Damn... if he had power in his punches :)

ok people, don't get mad at me! i'm your typical youtube boxing fan! I LIKE TO SEE PEOPLE GET KNOCKED F%$K OUT!

with that being said, was this match really worth all the hype! this is i guess my first time i watched a live match and to me it was just wack! i remember saying to myself WE ARE IN ROUND 10 ALREADY???

with that being said, i was watching the fight in casino juragua or how ever you spell it in malecon and betting $5180 at a -300 score can make someone VERY VERY HAPPY!

* should have seen the guy behind me, he only took home mas o menos 650 pesos! <- what type of bet was that then! LOL!

Mayweather reminds me of Chris Byrd, all defense makes for an extremely boring fight. Mayweather is good, one of the great ones but boring to watch

I really wonder if he will be able to headline another huge PPV like the one last night. I bought it and regret doing so

Mayweather signed a $200 million dollar six fight deal with Showtime Sports. Since the record breaking PPV orders in 2007 (De La Hoya vs. Mayweather) he has been the highest grossing PPV fighter ever since.

Island, I respect your opinion, however, I've heard this statement from novice boxing fans but you said you were in the ring before. Mayweather is a pure fighter and every young contender would be served well by studying him. This style has allowed him to be undefeated at age 36 with 45 professional fights. His body, as you saw last night, hasn't missed a beat. He has preserved himself and due to his style, is going to retire a wealthy person without his speech being impeded.

His undefeated record and business savvy will yield record breaking PPV hits. Those same people who say he's boring would go out and buy the subscription again. A simple question, when he retires and has a couple of gyms open for training, would you prefer to send your grandchildren to train with a guy who had many losses in his career or an undefeated one? A boxer who teaches the science of "hitting and not being hit" or one who has slugged it out and often suffered the consequences?

In his after boxing life, if we manage to communicate years in the future, this other business venture is going to be successful with many Hollywood stars wanting to train with him.

I've been reading a lot of commentaries this morning from the multitude who honestly believed Canelo was going to win. They are sucking on fumes and have stated what you've said in their failure to admit that their guy lost hands down being thirteen years younger and very strong.

Again, the casual fan wants to see blood and glory : I get that.

I know exactly what type of fighter Mayweather is, I don't happen to enjoy watching that style. If every fighter had his physical attributes or could train to his way of fighting, they would

I don't know about or care regarding Mayweather's deal with Showtime, as a former "boxer" and avid fan I would not again pay to watch him, and if as a dedicated fan I won't pay I question Mayweather ever garnering such a gate again

I think he will have a few more "good" fights and retire, your being such an expert I would think you realize there is little if any completion out there to attract another mega event

Google makes everyone an expert on everything from the History of Hispaniola to boxing, freaking incredible

As to your other remarks, you flatter yourself

Mayweather by TKO in 6-7 :) And to think I imagined Mayweather by decision, though I predicted unanimous and it was majority I doubt any boxing aficionado would say it was anything but unanimous and there was one judge watching another fight.

Thanks for the compliment bro! I've been flattering myself for 45 fights thus far and see no reason to stop now :)

You're taking this thing a little too serious in my opinion. I mentioned some casual fans would consider his style boring, but you, as a former fighter, I thought would have appreciated Mayweather as a complete fighter.

The stuff about google and the island of Hispaniola depicts someone with a latent chip on the shoulders for something that I've said in the past. Let me tell you something bro, I don't apologize to you or anyone else because I stand by everything I've stated. And ready to defend it in an instant.

Maybe there wouldn't be a bigger fight in his contractual four remaining fights, but who knows what the future holds. Even those bored and remorseful patrons would be watching or ordering his next fight.

Take care because you've first injected venom in a rather boastful, gloating thread.

So are we going to see "DR1 Championship" boxing between Delite and Island. If there's ever such championship I would love for the opportunity to knock out Hernandez.:rambo:

If its a charitable event, then I could just knock the two of them out for free :)

Threats generally go over poorly here

You're turning this thread into something the OP never intended or even imagined. Lets stick to the fight last night, if you care to continue. I've already made my point. You are welcome to refute anything I've said on another post because you have been laboring with this for far too long. C'mon tough guy!

Damm Pops, let it go, watch the guys (and girl) on NASCAR turn left for a few hours. You know what you are, no need to convince everyone else
