The Acento news group has indicated that there are at least five issues that are causing problems between the United Nations, United States and the Dominican Republic. The elephant in the room is, of course, Haiti. The neighboring country is currently undergoing a chaotic period where law enforcement and public safety are mere words on paper. Massive and illegal immigration across a nearly open frontier are one instance that causes huge costs to the Dominican government.

President Luis Abinader has stated on both national and international podiums that the Dominican Republic is not the solution to the Haitian crisis.

Combined with the issue of deportations, contraband and crime, the issues surrounding Haiti are certainly quite prominent. Making matters worse, most Haitians in Haiti are undocumented, creating a major security issue for the Dominican Republic.

Recently, the...

Neither the UN, the US, nor Europe have any idea what to do about Haiti nor do any of them want to take Haitian refugees. In order to distract from this uncomfortable fact, they've decided to blame the DR and play the race card. This is always their default strategy.

An article by a Haitian author posted in another thread a few months ago had the answer: airlift them out. Millions of people can walk into North America and Europe who are not nearly as bad off, but Haitians are stuck in the middle of the ocean. Perhaps if Haitians could assure them that they'd vote the right way it might change. In the meantime, the world body can have a collective endorphin rush by virtue signaling.

The issues are always the same. The US wants to push countries to bend to their wishes just short of the country bailing out from the US entirely. The countries being influenced want independence but are willing to bend enough to keep the US cash flowing. Rinse and repeat.

The Clintons got their fingers singed trying to put their fingers in that pot. Haven't heard one word from the current administration up North in US or Canada about Haiti. Only one photo of a Border Patrol on horseback got unfairly singled out for virtue signaling.
The UN is as worthless as snow chains in the trunk of a Dominican car.
Frankly Haiti deserves a huge chunk the Western 'save-tge-world' money being diverted for Ukraine, which is a bottomless pit, of course Haiti maybe as well.

The Clintons really f'd up Haiti. Haiti used to grow their own rice. Now because of bubba and the hildabeast, they import most of it. Surprise surprise, much of the imports come from Arkansas.

Both the USA and the worthless UN seem to think the Dominican Republic
should embrace their open-borders policy with unfiltered illegal immigration
and a one-size-fits-all policy for all countries regardless of their sovereignty,
finances, dignity, self-determination, social repercussions, laws, rules... ect.
How many illegals is too many?
Neither the USA nor the UN will ever answer this question.
