Did you read the article? I thought it was common knowledge that 'Snopes' (that name, OMG) is a politicized enterprise.
As for me, I prefer to use peer-reviewed scientific studies to look at data.
I am also interested in anecdotal evidence (i.e. other people's stories).
I put very little stock in: the mainstream media (left or right-leaning), 'science' (CDC and WHO talking points), and information coming out of any organization funded by the government, George Soros, big pharma or any other large corporation with an obvious agenda.
I am very careful when I research and the first thing I look at is who published the information, and who funded the study/article.
We live in an era where information has been available like never before, which is truly a blessing, but we must use our discernment.
I do make mistakes but I do my best to be informed and also to share truth on forums like this one, despite the ridicule, because I believe that we are not getting the real story about covid, I do not believe my government is acting in our best interests, I am concerned about the vaccines, and I hope that people can get past the fear-programming and make sound decisions for themselves and their families.
Not a word about the woman who claimed her infected foot was caused by the virus until it was revealed she didn't even receive the vaccine, which she then recanted once it was revealed but "folks should send money anyway"

Instead, you throw shade on Snopes for reporting the story. Talk about shooting the messenger.

Time for us to get back on topic.

The title of the thread is "Will you accept the vaccine made available in the DR?

Not "What is the vaccine made of? or "What should Canadians know about it??"

Pretty simple.

Good.
Jan. is tomorrow.
Anyone hear of the distribution plan?
From other countries experience distribution may not be easy as one would think and then the DR does not have experience in yearly influenza vaccine.
Be great if it goes smoothly and quickly.

Is AZ the vaccines that are reported in the country?

Dr. José Yunén, one of the first Dominicans to receive the Pfizer vaccine.

New York.– Dr. José Rafael Yunén, an infectologist and intensivist, this week became one of the first Dominicans to receive the vaccine against covid-19 produced by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer.

“I just got vaccinated against Covid-19. A totally smooth experience, without any problem, no pain,” says the doctor in a video recorded by him and published by Acento.com.do and other online newspapers.

Yunén asked the population to get vaccinated because “it is the solution to counteract the virus.”

“There is a lot of stigma. People, let’s stop the drama. Let’s go to the vaccine, this is the solution,” he adds.

On December 11, 2020, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued the first emergency use authorization (EUA) for a vaccine for COVID-19 caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in individuals 16 years of age and older.

Sounds like every time the virus mutates we (well you guys) will need to get another (possibly altered) vaccine in the not too distant future.
How much does this cost?
Who benefits/ profits from this never ending cycle?
Winners? Losers?
The money, I want to know who pays for all of this (the poor little mouse will never understand why the cheese is free)
and how much are these companies being paid?
These are legitimate questions any government should be transparent with.

The same people who say they want the bioweapon masquerading as a vaccine are the same people who say things like "there's no problem if you have nothing to hide" and tyrants love these useful tools.

Unfortunately, their stupidity ends up hurting others. With this in mind, I hereby give up my place in line and offer it to them. I want them to be the first to be injected.

In fact, I encourage them to get multiple injections. After all, I'm sure the bioweapon is completely safe and there's no reason to be afraid of it, comrade.

Regardless of previous posts and having more time to consider this initiative, I would be first in line.
No vaccines will be effective after 4 months. So say the manufacturers,
My concern is today and not in 4 months.
Happy New Year

They don't do anyone any good sitting in a fridge somewhere. I still haven't heard how the Govt plans to dispense the vaccine doses here.

no evidence exists indicating mutated virus will reduce vaccine efficacy.
You are unique in hearing these "sounds".
There is no "never ending cycle".
These are made up questions and an example of the fallacy known as the straw man argument.

There is no never ending cycle and the clear beneficiary of the vaccine is the recipient need not worry any longer about getting the illness or passing the disease on to others.

It's a new year and past time for a more positive outlook.
Creating negative straw man arguments and then railing as if they were real is non productive.

Excellent point.
I should have posted links to recent articles which say otherwise. Will be sure to do so this afternoon when I return home.
