After talking to my sister in NY, I am advised to make things simple.
Just use white flour, add little warm water, 1 cup warm milk, salt, sugar, 4 table spoons of yogurt and enough yeast for the dough. make the dough at night and cover it with wet cloth, then early in the morning it should be risen to the top and ready. Now I should be able to make something that would resemble naan. lets see, this will be my next experiment.
I hope this stubborn naan challenge won't push me to actually construct a real tandoor. I just might do that if I am pushed to the limits.
