If it is then they did an incredible job. Notice how the shadow on the ground matches exactly with the object. I believe it's real...
It very well could be and some of the ones I posted, may not be.
Who knows, unless he is the one who snapped the shot.

No Photoshop there.

I presume we're talking about the car chasis still.

From what I can tell, and I have nearly a decade of Photoshop experience - and in the past 2 years Corel (worst program ever) that is NOT an altered photograph. As for the tires being more flattened (nice try Clueso) not if they are the tubeless kind (more durable, less wear, less give/hard ride).

As many have stated - if you doubt it, you haven't been to the DR.

I've no idea if that was taken in the DR, but it sure could have been.

It's a real photo. It was taken on Gustavo Mejia Ricart about 4 years ago.
Actually by someone me and Cleef know, but I'm sure he has no clue who it is.

I'll give you a clue, she used to teach at your school Cleef and the kids thought she was Hitler! jejejeje.

That shaves it down to a half dozen possibilities, the other half were thought of as Ghengis Khan with lipstick.

To expatsooner, Andy & AZB

Thanks expatsooner, for such a great idea.
This thread is the most fun we have had on DR1 for awhile, and is surely just beginning.

To Andy,
Thanks for that great pic of the dude on the bike, carrying the car.

To AZB,
I knew you couldn't post pics without a beautiful lady in them.

Moto accident, Sosua. He ended up riding away OK.

I missed the shot I wanted because I was in the water at the time.
This guy had moored his boat and swum in to shore. When I first saw him,
he was swimming back to it with three Presidentes clutched by the necks between the fingers of one hand.

andy_089, the one with the dog is great. We took one like that in 2000 just outside Cotui, but I don't think it's the same man, or dog. I wish I could find that photo!

Is the fat man Dominican?
The one with six more or less fully-grown passengers has to be some kind of record.

I agree with Rocky - great thread!

Here's some that follow along with the theme of the above link. I'm glad you like the idea of the thread Chiri and Rocky. I was just disappointed that none of the pictures I took of my little dog Princess and your big guy Bruno turned out well enough to save, Rocky. They were too busy playing and I was too busy enjoying a great sandwich to get any serious efforts at photography in. ;) (I was the woman with the little black mini australian shepard that came in for lunch one day during semana santa)

Oh no, those goats to the slaughter. Confirms that they're supremely stupid animals!

Yes, yes, I remember you.
Thanks again for the thread.
It really is an excellent idea and most entertaining, even educational.

Did you know that don Adriano (Adriano Miguel Tejada - Director of Diario Libre) is an avid lurker of this message board?...

If that is the case, then he should write something about DR1 on Diario Libre. Maybe he could pick a favorite or controversial subject here and comment on it.
