In the beginning, we both were very open about everything, still are..You can't start off a relationship on lies, will never work, trust is gone before it starts..We sat down once I got into POP..I explained my income, bills etc, but held back on the real total because it was not there to factor in. She did tell me that she had alot of debt, her ex boyfriend (She has never been married) Was from PR, he cheated on her and moved in with his new girl in PR taking everything while she was at work, gee this sounds familiar while I was at the Hospital..In doing so, She was left with his debt, most if not all was in her name because of his credit issues, close to 80,000 Pesos..She obviously was the one being used..And I don't get it! Antonia is beautiful, and her personality is like your Grandma, so sweet, brings me coffee without saying a word, dinner, comes and gives me a massage if I fail to hide my pain well, but she can tell...She should be the other woman you cheat with...

So, She was truthful about everything, just never told me about this so called bill until she could not pay it this Month...And lets put it this way, She brings home about 5,000 pesos after everything is paid for...But I too was having some trouble this Month because my ex landlord still has my deposits and I had to dish out 25,000 for a new place which left me with nothing for the Month. As a matter of fact, I almost died, very serious! because of the type of medications I take, you cannot stop on a dime. One is a very strong Steroid, Dextramentonsone, much stronger than Prdeisone...I was having very bad side effects, even my heart was skipping on me, short of breath, fever, was ready to go, nothing else to do..If I was in the States, I would have called 911, but I had to call Antonia. Left her job, got me the Dextra Tres B, the other took 10 hours being it had to come from SD..She called a few of my friends in SD and they came up with some money to pay for it,,Amazing!! Antonia saved my ass, had no idea what she had to go through just to help me..Again, this is not me! I feel like a total jerk! but thats done...

Now, I only found out about this deal this Month..But again, she included this amount in her total debt...I just had no idea it was like this..When She told me the amount, I said WAIT! That figure is the same from 7 Months ago, how can that be??!! She said because of interest, 4,000 a Month of it which is the damn payment, so nothing is getting paid.. And she has been flipping out a bit, even crying..Why?? Come on! I would think she would be worried for me to split on her, or maybe just worried about what has been mentioned here if thats what the deal is...And now knowing what I know, and her selling her things when we meet just to help me once again, I feel more like crap! She could have used that money to reduce her debts..and she is 100% independent which is maybe, the only thing that bothers me. And, even if I give her money for a ride, lunch or whatever, she dares to pay me back! She puts the money in my pants or my draw without saying anything..I give it back to her though and I'm trying to teach her that all monies are ours together as well as the bills.. So, this is a very good woman, or the best actress I have ever seen in my life because she cries too about her being a burden on me..HA!! I wrote not so long ago about the opposite, me being the burden, she can do much better!...And yes, it seems I can never get away from this damn drama! And like I said on that suicide thread, I tried! Damn right I did..Who the hell wants a life like this..Everytime I just about get back on my feet, my bank account gets levied by some BS Government Agency while they get their agreed amount every Month..Its a damn game for them...Or, somebody here steals from me resulting that I pay more out of my budget and can't...Referring to the electic...3 times in SD I had to pay 10,000 or More almost 3 Months in a row, but there I tried fighting it and wound up with no electric period.. They told me, DO NOT PAY YOUR BILL, you now have a case number and we will investigate..2 days later they cut me with no info..Bla Bla Bla..Had to pay..I will say this, I feel real sorry for the person that starts up with me face to face, their life will be over!

Overall, this poor girl works hard, she is working now..had to go to a meeting in La Vega, stayed over night..This happens every so often, and sometimes needs to go to SD, another office is there as well..And She is trying to make good, because she will need to put in for a transfer if we move to SD which she is not happy about, moving there..Her entire family is here in POP and Santiago, and believe me, by phone or in person her family is around which is cool, I need that man! So, the idea of going to her work sounds like a good one to me..I told her last week when that girl was calling her non stop. let me speak to her..Yea sure, no English and my Spanish is not good enough right now, NO MAS PAGA TU!! I think.. This is just nuts! But again, its the DR..We see many guys here looking for women..Well, what do they think>??!!! They will have money to take care of them..Talk about drama no matter what you do in having a woman from here. And Antonia is well educated, she's even going to school now to become a Lawyer, has been since I meet her and will finish in Dec. She was also going to English school, but had to stop because She could no longer pay for it..However, her English is fine..I really hope it all works out for her, she really deserves something great! And I think part of the problem is, She lost both her parents at such a young age to boot. Mom died in front of her of a heart attack, she was only 21 Years old, Mom was 46 or so, Dad died of Shingles..WOW!! So sad and stupid!!If he was in the States never would have happened, he was 52, only 2 Years apart between deaths..Terrible. And I know her family is putting a lot of pressure on her, but I also know they mean well, want whats best for their sister, maybe not me..Hard to say, but I'm doing all that I can for now. And Antonia is the only girl that is not married or has children out of 3 sisters one brother..I know that bothers her and a lot..She would be a great Mommy!

But holy hell! Whats next! and next! I know, my damn puppy will be pregnant!! we have about 5 stray dogs around here, my puppy just became an adult, and of course got out because she is in heat..Next thing I know, Antonia is yelling!! I went outside to see what was going on, there's my Rocca being dragged backwards my some damn mutt! and she is screaming!! Antonia comes running in, I watch, this has to be good! She knows nothing about dogs...Takes the jug of cold water, runs out and dumps it on both dogs..SIGH!! I getta going, grab anything I can that will fit in the Microwave, heat the water up for 3 minutes on HIGH! take it out, I'm burning, Antonia tries to STOP ME!!! Thats hot water!!!! She yells..REALLY!!??? I continue out, do the deed and Mr Wonkier fails out...I pick up Rocca, smack the male, take her inside while I get the third degree of why I didn't tell her to use hot water AND, how did I know...Never mind honey, maybe something with Vet School I guess, so next time please get me..Its been very hard to contain the dog, and as soon as she feels any door is going to open, BAM! She takes control of the door as if she is the owner.. You can teach people all you want about animals, but they need to implement the solution to the problem..If you see your dog running to the door, do you just continue to open it..I know, trick question, but get back to me....So, I only hope her cycle is not on, no idea when she started exactly..But be damn sure I will be posting photos of puppies soon..I know it, its coming...

Okay, so whats the best thing to say to this girl??? Antonia is due back around 4PM or so, gonna have a quickie, then sit her down..I mean, talk with her about what exactly is the agreement on this and if she thinks that this friend can just forgive the debt with no trouble..If not, I want to know why!?

and these people are not even my FRIENDS, with that being said, i don't roll with the people who own suv, i roll with the opposites and that comes with a price! how ever, i've stopped caring and giving since a long time ago if there was no garantuee for a payback like working it off!

i can understand him, these people here can't manage their money, and if you care for your people and you're money is more than theirs than of course they want you to help them. in my case, the money i'm "losing" on these people in total hasn't even crossed the ?250 at all!

Once on the ground, I remembered a heinous crime where a nine or ten year girl was violated and killed. Her body was found naked from waist down in the bushes close a dirt track. It had garnered the publics attention due to its horrific nature. This came up in one of our discussions because the culprit had been caught. He was a neighbor and involved with the mother of the deceased.

Apparently, he had borrowed some money from a prestamista for himself and loaned a portion to the mother. Unfortunately, she wasn't living up to her end as far as payments.

He kidnapped the girl and threatened the mother that he would harm the girl if she doesn't repay him. Two or three days later, the child's body was found. This was his confession after he was arrested.

Maybe it might behoove you to investigate before you dismiss for lack of personal awareness.

2. Have any of your friend or friend's in the National Police ever told you a story of a child being kidnapped as a result of an unpaid loan from a loan shark or finance bank? The example you gave of a neighbor sexually raping and killing a girl over a loan has nothing to do with loans sharks or finance banks directly loaning money to the mother--it was an issue between a neighbor and her over money. Apparently, the revenge was taken out on the daughter by the neighbor.

3. My family is in the finance bank/loan shark business. It's no secret, and never has been. It wouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who they are. It's how me, my family, and a few close friends (gringos) survive in the DR. A loan shark/ finance bank does not threaten people with physical violence over a loan. Ever. They're holding onto your property/house/collateral if you default. I have never heard of any loan shark/finance bank threatening with physical violence anyone over a loan. And yes, i grew up around it. You do not make enemies in a town where you have to run into the same people over and over every week.

Allow me to qualify one thing: I am not saying that there has never been an exception to these rules. I know that, under no circumstance, would my family ever threaten anyone over a loan...we already have your title to your house or land. We want payment first and foremost, but if we can't get that, we'll settle for the collateral of which we're holding onto. We got a house full of lawyers that take it from there.

Frank, I do not know if it was between friends or someone he knew very well. I am not going to say for sure.
I am not here to dissect the man but I do know that no matter the amount of money you may owe
someone they are expecting you to pay them back. Maybe this wasn't the first time , I don't know.

But my point is whatever money you may owe someone whether it was in writing or verbal always
