Announcing the Dominican Dream Project

The Dominican Republic Education and Mentoring (DREAM) Project is to be announced this coming Wednesday, 9 April during a press meeting at the Sea Horse Ranch Clubhouse. The casual breakfast event seeks to mobilize socially responsible members of the community and investors in the future of the DR to participate in the Dream Project. Promoting the project is Tricia Thorndike-Suriel, who explains that as a US 501c3 non-profit organization established in 1999, DREAM is committed to improving educational opportunities for children in rural areas and small communities of the North Coast and North Slope of the Cordillera Central. DREAM provides funds and supplies, and arranges for volunteers to build necessary support facilities such as libraries, additional classrooms, and toilets. Volunteers are placed in schools and libraries to teach reading, writing, math and English skills to children born into poverty.
