The appearance of dozens of application forms in garbage bins outside the Spanish embassy has forced Labor Minister Milton Ray Guevara to order an investigation into the circumstances that is causing many people to question the whole process. Ray Guevara ordered several of his vice ministers to look into the situation, while assuring the press that the selection process for the 485 jobs in Spain has been transparent and follows the guidelines set out in the Agreement on Migration Flows that was signed last year between Spain and the DR. A representative from the Spanish embassy, Teresa Mili?n, said that selection process for persons seeking jobs in domestic service and in the area of hotels was being carried out in a transparent manner. A problem occurred, however, when many of the job seekers, who line up outside the embassy doors early in the morning, found the forms crumpled up in the waste bins outside the building. Reportedly, some 22,000 persons have applied for the 485 available posts.
