Seventh streaker named and detained

Diario Libre concludes its campaign on Sunday’s Ave. Lincoln exhibitionists with the announcement that the mysterious seventh streaker has been named and detained. The police had originally denied the existence of a seventh suspect, but yesterday it was announced that two more youths had been arrested. The sixth had already been named, but for some reason not detained along with the other five. In its back-page commentary, the Diario Libre symbolically passes the baton to the legal authorities, saying it is now up to the “imperfect” justice system to do its work. The police have now confirmed that the drug tests carried out on the youths already in custody were all negative, but that the seven could still face penalties of up to one year in prison and fines of RD$5,000. The group of pranksters being taken to justice, ranging from 18 to 20 years of age, are Ernesto Gast?n, Pr?amo Joaqu?n Mercado, Justo Rodr?guez, Lincoln Catalino, Eddie Bayohan Bobea, Rub?n Dar?o Santana and Jos? Bernard S?nchez. The SUV used for the nude promenade belongs to the parents of Pr?amo Joaqu?n Mercado.
