Mejia & Bush meet in Washington

President Hip?lito Mej?a and President George W. Bush met today in Washington, D.C. The White House said that ?the two discussed the strong bilateral and trade relationships between the United States and the Dominican Republic, as we work together.?
The first reports on the President?s meeting carry the Dominican stateman?s optimism the Dominican Republic will be given equal treatment to Central America in regards to free trade. CDN reports that Foreign Relations Minister Frank Guerrero Prats; Industry & Commerce Minister Sonia Guzm?n; Tourism Minister Rafael Suberv?; Deputy Governor of the Central Bank Felix Calvo accompanied him on the visit.
