Of the 39 soldiers belonging to the Quisqueya II Task Force deployed to Iraq, 36 returned yesterday through Las Americas International airport. Three more soldiers remain in Kuwait, including a medical officer, a liaison officer and a sick soldier who is recovering. The 36 men were part of a platoon of 312 soldiers who assisted in Iraqi reconstruction efforts under command of Spanish troops. Shortly after the Spanish government announced the return of its troops, the DR also called its soldiers home.
