The National Choir is holding its Christmas carol concert at the Convento de los Dominicos in Santo Domingo’s Colonial City on 16 December at 6pm. This is a not-to-be-missed event, with the country’s best choral voices resounding within the walls of the historical 16th Century monument.
Also, on 16 December, the Juan Pablo Duarte Symphony Orchestra and the choir of the National Music Conservatory will play a concert at the National Music Conservatory at 6pm.
On 17 December, the National Choir and the National Symphony will perform together at the Las Americas International Airport at 1:30pm and 5pm, singing songs of seasonal joy to welcome Dominicans returning home for the holidays.
On the 17th, for music lovers in Gaspar Hernandez, on the northeastern coast of the country near the tourist destinations of Cabrera and Rio San Juan, the Juan Pablo Duarte Symphonic Orchestra will perform at the town’s Nuestra Senora del Carmen church.
Also not to be missed is the 25 December Christmas Concert with the Santo Domingo Cathedral Choir at 7pm. Free admission, but to make sure you get a seat, be there by 7pm.
