The Presidency announces President Luis Abinader and several cabinet officers will be in Barahona this Monday, 19 October 2020. Abinader has been traveling to visit with community leaders in each province. In his first two months in government, he has visited Pedernales, Monte Cristi, Santiago de los Caballeros, La Altagracia (Punta Cana), San Pedro de Macorís, La Vega, Samaná and Puerto Plata.
On his agenda for the 11am to 2:30pm visit is to participate in the start of works at the port, visit with religious leaders, and army headquarters in Barahona. He will have lunch with ruling Modern Revolutionary Party (PRD) leaders in the community.
