Santo Domingo Chamber of Commerce launches new digital platform

The Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo put into operation new online services in an event attended by President Luis Abinader on 21 June 2022.

The new service speeds up company formation. The president of the CCPSD, Manuel Luna said the digital platform will save time, streamline processes, encourage the use of digital signatures and decongest the institution’s facilities.

Online services available through the web page www.camarasantodomingo.do are the registration of new companies, creation and renewal of the commercial registry, transfer of domicile from another province, updating of general data of the company, among others.

Luna announced the same digital platform will soon be implemented nationwide. “In the coming months it will be easy and agile to do business in all the provinces of the country, not only in the capital. He said they are working with Fedocamaras to install the same system in all the chambers of the country. He said this will be happening first as of July in the southern region.

Speaking during the event, President Luis Abinader said that the Bureaucracy Zero government portal will start in September to simplify government procedures and services further. Abinader said that as of September all government institutions should have installed a single window facility to process red tape. He said his administration is working to break a culture of corruption in government, to facilitate access and eliminate extortions.
