As of 1 September 2022, those identifying themselves as police officers will get 5 to 6% off at Grupo Ramos (Sirena Market and Sirena superstores), Plaza Lama stores and Hiper Olé and Federacion Dominicana de Comerciantes (FDC) stores nationwide. A minimum purchase of RD$1,000 is required.
Signing the agreement were Major General Eduardo Alberto Then, director general of the Police, Pedro Lama for Plaza Lama; María del Carmen Ramos for Grupo Ramos, José Manuel Rodríguez, for Supermercados Olé, and Iván García, for the FDC.
The discount will be awarded with the presentation of the Police ID. The Police committed to deliver a digital list with the personal data (names and ID numbers) of its staff to enter into the stores’ systems. The database will be updated every 30 days.
The new Sirena, Ole, Plaza Lama and FDC discount program adds to other recent benefits awarded to Police under the Abinader administration. These benefits are free transport on Metro and Omsa buses, scholarships for the Police and their family members, low cost housing loans from the Banco de Reservas and Senasa health insurance.
