Delta announces non-stop flight to Puerto Plata from ATL and JFK this winter

Delta is letting people know early that the airline will be flying as of 23 November 2024 from Atlanta International into Puerto Plata’s Gregorio Luperon International Airport (POP). The airline also announced Saturday-only flights from New York’s JFK International to Puerto Plata.

Delta had been serving the Puerto Plata area with its flights from New York’s JFK International into Santiago’s Cibao International Airport, about half an hour’s drive from Puerto Plata.

Delta also flies from Santo Domingo’s Las Americas International to Atlanta and New York City’s JFK. The airline has non-stop flights into Punta Cana International from Atlanta (ATL), Miami (MIA) and New York (JFK).

The new Puerto Plata flights are part of the airline’s expansion to offer more and better connections to Latin American passengers. The airline will fly Boeing 737-800s on the new routes. The aircraft has a capacity of 162 seats in a two-class layout. This comprises 108 conventional economy seats, 16 first-class recliners, and 36 Comfort+ extra-legroom seats.
