President Luis Abinader has issued Decree 615-24, appointing Elías Báez De Los Santos as the new director general of the Information and Defense of Affiliates Agency (DIDA), the consumer agency regarding social security benefits.
Báez De Los Santos, a lawyer and politician, previously served as a labor penal inspector and public prosecutor in the province of Santo Domingo. He was also a member of the Chamber of Deputies from 2016 to 2024.
The same decree confirms Henry Sahdalá Dumit as Treasurer of Social Security.
