The Dominican Republic Association of Industries (AIRD) held a press conference where its executive vice-president, Mario Pujols, pointed out the five key issues regarding fraud in unfair trading here.
The first calls for improved communication between different commercial entities. Pujols suggested continued support for the actions taken by the Customs Agency (DGA) together with the Tax Agency (DGII).
Another suggestion is regarding the formalization of the working groups that are dealing with labor issues.
Then there was the call for the application of the protocols that have already been set forth by the ministries of Industry & Commerce and Hacienda.
Next came the need for knowledge of the legal framework to be disseminated among the judiciary.
And finally, Pujols called for the preparation of new legislative projects that would cover the issues of illegal commercial practices.
