
A recent aviation job fair coordinated by 25 private and public entities related to Dominican aviation saw a record attendance of more than 1,000 young people seeking jobs. The event took place on 6 December 2024 at the installations of the Superior Academy of Aviation Sciences (ASCA) at the Norge Botello Aeronautical Complex of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation.
The event coincided with the Dominican Aviation Week 2024, held from 2 to 6 December 2024.
For a third consecutive year, ASCA served as a conduit for hundreds of young people to find jobs in the growing local aviation industry. 80% of ASCA graduates find jobs at the event, Clara Fernandez, ASCA director explained in a press release.
Companies that participated in the Third Aviation Job Fair were: IDAC, ASCA, AVIAM, Arajet, Tripulantes VIP, Before Boarding, Sky High, ADCA, IASCA, Enalas, ATS, Grupo PuntaCana, CESAC, IGM Catering, Sky Caterers, Talleres Aeronáuticos del Caribe, AFP Reservas, Departamento Aeroportuario, Sipen, Red Air, Servair, Pilarte Cargo, DR From The Sky and EPS.
“This event, more than an opportunity to find a job, is a meeting point for young talents and the aviation industry, a key sector for the social and economic development of our country and one in constant growth,” said Miguel Mejia, deputy director of the IDAC.
