The Central Electoral Board (JCE) has released an update on the demographics of Dominican voters. According to the recent data of the 7,487,040 Dominican eligible voters, the largest concentrations are located in Greater Santo Domingo (National District and Province of Santo Domingo) and Santiago province, for around 45% of the total eligible voters.
The National District and six provinces concentrate 60% of the vote. These are:
Province of Santo Domingo: 1,665,989 voters | 22.25%
National District: 858,890 voters | 11.47%
Santiago: 842,947 voters | 11.26%
San Cristóbal: 432,579 voters | 5.78%
La Vega: 334,638 voters | 4.47%
Puerto Plata: 260,030 voters | 3.47%
Duarte (San Francisco de Macorís): 256,365 | 3.42%
